The famous Eumundi Markets are only 15 to 20 minutes drive from Tranquil Views. The markets are open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Make a day of it, explore the many stalls, enjoy a delicious lunch at any of the many venues in town from the newly refurbished pub, to the tasty cafes and various food stalls at the markets, then read a book with a coffee in Australia’s oldest bookseller.
Gorgeous Noosa is only about 20 to 30 minutes drive from Tranquil Views, drive up the Sunshine Motorway or take the scenic route through Coolum along the coast road. Enjoy a swim, take a walk, grab lunch and browse the shops.
Yandina and The Ginger Factory
Yandina’s Ginger Factory is only 5 to 10 minutes drive in Yandina, the closet town to Tranquil Views. The Ginger Factory offers great fun for the children, enjoy educational tours, fun rides, shopping facilities and cafe. The Ginger Factory boasts the world’s finest ginger products plus tranquil gardens and walks.
Yandina has lots of coffee shops, a classic old pub and a new IGA where you can stock up on supplies. Yandina also has markets on every Saturday morning held at the main oval north of the town, just follow the cars!
Aussie World is located at Palmview and is about 20 to 30 minutes drive from Tranquil Views Bed & Breakfast. Perfect place to take the children to keep them entertained on all the rides and activities to do.
Sunshine Coast Turf Club
The Sunshine Coast Turf Club is located before you drive into Caloundra about half an hour south of Tranquil Views Bed & Breakfast. The club has beautiful grounds and tracks purposed for all weather conditions. Have a flutter at one of their regular race meets or frock up and head off to one of their feature race days.
Sunshine Coast Events
The Sunshine Coast is quickly becoming the place for events – either be a triathlon, ironman world championship, surfing festival or a tough mudder you can find a vast number of sporting events being held across the coast all year round.
A number of music festivals and events are also held on the coast including the Gympie Music Muster, the Caloundra and Maroochy music festivals plus the famous Woodford Festival. The coast also boasts a number of local events, performances, workshops, expos and festivals throughout the year. Get involved in an event or just relax and enjoy being a spectator.
Spirit House Restaurant
The famous and delicious Spirit House Restaurant is only a short drive from Tranquil Views Bed and Breakfast. Transport can be arranged for drop off for lunch or dinner. Or book one of their tantalising cooking schools while you are staying at Tranquil Views and make a few days of it!
Beautiful Coolum is only about 10 to 15 minutes drive from Tranquil Views. Great spot for a swim, walk along the boardwalk along the coast, or enjoy an ice cream or lunch at the Coolum Surf Club looking out onto the beach and ocean.
Sunshine Coast Hinterland
The stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland is approximately 30 to 45 minutes drive from Tranquil Views. Enjoy a hike in the national parks or take a leisurely walk to take in the breathtaking views, have a coffee or grab some lunch, or see talented local artwork and explore the many shops in Mappleton, Montville and Maleny. Local cottage markets are on every Sunday morning at Maleny.
The Big Pineapple and Wildlife HQ
The Big Pineapple and Wildlife HQ (formally Queensland Zoo, Brisbane) is located 15 minutes down the highway from Tranquil Views, and is the Sunshine Coast’s most famous icon. Catch the train, have a famous sundae, and visit the animals at Wildlife HQ.
Australia Zoo located at Beerwah is about half an hour’s drive from Tranquil Views Bed & Breakfast. Definitely worth going for a full day. See all the animals, exhibitions and daily shows or take in a special animal encounter.
Underwater World is located at Mooloolaba towards the Spit behind the Mooloolaba Surf Club, about 20 to 30 minutes from Tranquil Views Bed & Breakfast. Underwater World has a number of animal experiences on offer or explore all of the 16 themed zones throughout the aquarium and discover thousands of marine and freshwater animals.
